Something new! Mousa From Nowhere is my first children’s book. It launched in October in Mississauga. There will be more launch events soon. The excellent illustrator is Roxanna Genus, and this is her first book. Contact me to get copies. Mousa’s story of settling in a new country as a pre-schooler and eventually attending a citizenship ceremony with his family is a story of overcoming obstacles. “Mousa” is based on a real boy, and he joined me at the launch, with his mom, Alia, the subject of Alia’s Voice.

Flashing Lights at Night, launched in the winter of 2024-25, just two years after the events described in the book. I’m happy to report that the book’s main character, also a real boy, is doing fine in high school in Saskatchewan, after a car accident and brain injury over Christmas 2022 led to a scary and long recovery. Copies are available from me or Amazon. I charge less for shipping.

If you live near an Indigo store, you can find it on their catalogue and order it to your nearest Indigo store, as with all my titles except Mousa. I’m working on that.

My recent book, Alia’s Voice, has its own page on this website. Several shorter works are posted here.

On the family history page, I will be posting books by others as a sort of archive for genealogy obsessives. Wander in, take a look.
